These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with SNEDDON TILLBROOK LTD ("the Company"). By making a booking, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

"Customer" means the person making the booking.

"Passenger" means any person travelling in the vehicle.

"Driver" means the Company's employee, director, contractor or authorised representative providing the transport service.

"Journey" means the pre-booked transport service agreed between the Customer and the Company.

2. Bookings

2.1 All journeys must be pre-booked and are subject to vehicle and driver availability.

2.2 A booking is not confirmed until accepted by the Company.

2.3 Customers must provide accurate details including:

  • Pickup location.

  • Destination.

  • Date and time of travel.

  • Contact telephone number.

  • Number of passengers.

  • Amount of luggage.

  • Flight details where applicable.

2.4 The Company reserves the right to decline any booking.

3. Fares and Payments

3.1 Fares will be quoted at the time of booking.

3.2 Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due before or immediately upon completion of the journey.

3.3 Additional charges may apply for:

  • Additional pickup or drop-off locations.

  • Changes requested after booking confirmation.

  • Waiting time.

  • Parking charges.

  • Airport access charges.

  • Road tolls or congestion charges.

  • Additional cleaning requirements.

3.4 The Company reserves the right to request full or partial payment in advance.

4. Airport Transfers

4.1 Customers must provide full and accurate flight information when booking airport transfers.

4.2 The Company will monitor flight arrival times where flight details have been supplied.

4.3 Delayed flights will not normally incur additional charges where the delay is reasonable and flight details have been correctly provided.

4.4 If flight details are not provided or are incorrect, any resulting waiting time may be charged.

4.5 For airport arrivals, the fare includes up to:

  • 60 minutes waiting time from the actual flight landing time.

Thereafter waiting time may be charged at £[X] per 15 minutes or part thereof.

4.6 Airport parking charges incurred during collection will be payable by the customer unless expressly included in the quoted fare.

5. Waiting Time

5.1 For non-airport collections, the first 15 minutes waiting time from the agreed pickup time is included.

5.2 Additional waiting time may be charged.

5.3 If the passenger cannot be contacted after the waiting period, the booking may be treated as a no-show.

6. Cancellation Policy

6.1 Bookings cancelled more than 24 hours before pickup will receive a full refund of any monies paid.

6.2 Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of pickup may incur a cancellation charge of up to 100% of the agreed fare.

6.3 Airport transfers cancelled within 24 hours of pickup may be charged in full.

6.4 No refund shall be due for no-shows.

7. No Shows

7.1 A passenger will be deemed a no-show if:

  • They fail to attend the agreed collection point.

  • They cannot be contacted using the details provided.

  • They are not present after the applicable waiting period.

7.2 Full fare and any parking or waiting charges may be payable.

8. Passenger Conduct

8.1 Passengers must behave in a safe and respectful manner.

8.2 The Driver may refuse carriage or terminate a journey where a passenger:

  • Is abusive or threatening.

  • Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs to a degree affecting safety.

  • Smokes or vapes in the vehicle.

  • Damages or attempts to damage the vehicle.

  • Acts unlawfully.

8.3 No refund will be due where carriage is refused or terminated for these reasons.

9. Vehicle Damage and Cleaning Charges

9.1 Customers shall be liable for any damage caused by themselves or their passengers.

9.2 A minimum cleaning charge of £100 may be applied for excessive soiling.

9.3 Where specialist cleaning, repair, loss of earnings, or replacement costs are incurred, the Company reserves the right to recover all reasonable costs.

10. Luggage

10.1 Customers must ensure that luggage quantities are accurately declared at the time of booking.

10.2 The Driver may refuse excess luggage where it cannot be safely transported.

10.3 Luggage is carried entirely at the owner's risk.

11. Child Seats

11.1 Child seats must be requested at the time of booking.

11.2 Availability cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed by the Company.

11.3 Parents or guardians remain responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal requirements relating to child restraints.

12. Lost Property

12.1 The Company accepts no responsibility for personal property left in a vehicle.

12.2 Property found will be retained for a reasonable period where practicable.

12.3 A reasonable administration or delivery charge may apply for the return of lost property.

13. Delays and Circumstances Beyond Our Control

13.1 The Company will use reasonable endeavours to ensure timely arrival.

13.2 The Company shall not be liable for delays caused by:

  • Traffic congestion.

  • Accidents.

  • Road closures.

  • Weather conditions.

  • Vehicle breakdown.

  • Police activity.

  • Industrial action.

  • Any event beyond the Company's reasonable control.

13.3 Customers should allow adequate time for flights, ferry departures, train connections and appointments.

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability that cannot be excluded under Scots law.

14.2 Subject to clause 14.1, the Company's total liability arising from any booking shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant journey.

14.3 The Company shall not be liable for:

  • Missed flights.

  • Missed trains.

  • Missed appointments.

  • Missed events.

  • Loss of business.

  • Loss of earnings.

  • Indirect or consequential losses.

15. Data Protection

15.1 Personal information provided by customers will be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

15.2 Information will be used solely for the purpose of providing transport services, customer communications, legal compliance and legitimate business purposes.

16. Governing Law

16.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland.

16.2 Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
